Lead Structural Integrity Inspector at Petrostuff Nigeria Limited (PNL)

PNL provides bespoken inspection services to the industry for asset integrity assessment, repairs and maintenance for both subsea and topside utilizing cutting- edge technology and Marine vessel chartering services.Key Responsibilities:

Organize, plan, and perform structural topside inspection surveys in accordance with Client procedures and international best practices.
Manage inspection teams to ensure optimal performance and costeffective execution of inspection activities.
Schedule inspections and document inspection findings, nonconformances, and recommendations using the Vision Integrity Software.
Identify and implement the most costeffective inspection techniques, including visual, NDE, and rope access inspections where applicable.
Verify that all planned inspections and maintenance activities are performed, and that all findings are properly recorded and tracked.
Conduct or arrange initial Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments, including prior to the addition of any temporary or permanent loads on existing structures.
Forward reported findings to the Structural Technical Authority for technical review and further action.
Review inspection reports (firstlevel and secondlevel reviews) for quality, completeness, and technical accuracy.
Participate in anomaly assessment, risk ranking, and recommending corrective actions for structural deficiencies.
Promote a strong safety culture by participating in job hazard analyses (JHA), risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with Client’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
Maintain familiarity with work permit systems and ensure all inspection activities are conducted safely.
Provide training and mentoring support to junior inspectors to enhance competency development.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on structural design.
NonDestructive Examination (NDE) qualifications: UT, MT, PT, VT (ASNT Level II).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural inspection and integrity management, OR minimum of 5 years in topside structural design.
Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis software (e.g., SACS, AutoCAD) and inspection data management systems.
Solid understanding of international structural integrity codes and standards (e.g., API RP 2A, API RP 2SIM, ISO, AWS).
Excellent report writing, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

Rope Access Certification Level 1 or higher (IRATA or SPRAT) is an advantage.
Prior offshore oil and gas inspection experience is a strong advantage.
API 510/570/653 or other relevant API certifications will be an advantage.
