As a Hospital Security Guard, you will ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and hospital property, while also providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Patrol hospital premises, including patient areas, corridors, and parking lots
Monitor alarm systems to identify potential security threats
Control access to sensitive areas, such as nurseries and pharmacies
Respond to emergencies, such as codes, alarms, and disturbances
Escort patients, visitors, and staff as needed
Manage conflict and de-escalate volatile situations
Collaborate with hospital staff and law enforcement agencies
Write incident reports and maintain accurate records
Provide assistance to patients, visitors, and staff as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
0 – 2 years of experience in security or a related field
Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical fitness and the ability to stand for long periods
Availability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of healthcare security regulations and standards.
