The Private Driver will be responsible for safely transporting the employer and/or family members to and from various destinations, maintaining the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle, and ensuring all trips are punctual and efficient.
Discretion, reliability, and thorough knowledge of local routes are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the employer and family members to appointments, meetings, errands, school runs, etc.
Ensure the vehicle is always clean, well-maintained, and fueled.
Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, tires, brakes, etc.) and schedule maintenance when necessary.
Maintain records of car expenses, fuel usage, and servicing.
Plan routes and anticipate traffic conditions to ensure timely arrival.
Assist with loading and unloading luggage or shopping items as required.
Run basic errands on behalf of the employer (e.g., grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning).
Ensure the safety of passengers at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of the employer and family.
Qualifications and Skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 7 – 12 years of experience as a personal or professional driver.
Good knowledge of Lagos roads.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity and discretion.
Punctual, reliable, and highly organized.
Preferred:
Defensive driving certification or relevant training.
Experience working for private households or executives.
