Malaria Consortium Nigeria is committed to tackling the large number of malaria cases and deaths in the country. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we lead and support three major malaria control initiatives in the country: Support to the National Malaria Control Programme (SuNMaP); NetWorks and MAPS. The purpose of this assignment is to design and develop creative materials and produce a suite of engaging printed materials.
Responsibilities
The following activities will be carried out by the graphic designer:
Prepare rough drafts of the content (messaging and illustration) for materials based on an agreed brief.
Determine appropriate sizes and formats of material as well as font styles and sizes and develop creative materials
Test all content for understanding, acceptability and relevance with the target audiences.
Revise and produce final materials based on feedback received.
Review final layout
Submit overall report of assignment.
Finalised pretested tools for all the SBC materials
Finalised production of communication materials (posters)

QualificationsÂ
HND in design fine arts or related field is a plus.
National or state consultancy expertise with at least 5 years’ experience in developing SBCC training guides and design, and pre-testing of SBCC materials/
Proven graphic designing experience.
Experience working on similar assignments in the past.
Familiarity with the EPI and malaria programs
Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English, and Yoruba (desirable).
Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as in design and illustration.
Ability to work methodically and meet deadline.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft software for graphic design.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of the Nigerian public health sector.
A proven ability to work as part of a team and to be self-managing.
Experience in graphic design.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Good writing and reporting skills.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Fluent in Local language especially Yoruba and English.
